I am an academic with ambitions of being on the Ted show to talk about mixed methods approaches to research. I am an avid foodie and regular food traveler. I initially dreamed of being a novelist, settled for almost 40 years of academic writing, and now aspire to break out of that to find more creative ways to write and present academic research.
The recent completion of my textbook, An Introduction to Fully Integrated Mixed Methods Research (March 2017 from SAGE Publishers or Amazon) is one of the proudest achievements of my life. In it, I have fun using the architectural arch as a metaphor for mixed methods research, with the keystone representing the inferences that are constructed from the inter-mingling of qualitative and numbers-oriented research.
